INVICTUS (12A)

From director Clint Eastwood, Invictus tells the inspiring true story of how Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team, François Pienaar (Matt Damon), to help unite their country.
Newly elected President Mandela knows his nation remains racially and economically divided in the wake of apartheid. Believing he can bring his people together through the univer-sal language of sport, Mandela rallies South Africa’s underdog rugby team as they make an unlikely bid for the 1995 World Cup Championship.

Doors open at 7pm for film screening at 7.30pm.

Tickets priced £4 are available from Bunwell Post Office, two weeks prior to screening, and can also be obtained for £5 on the door. If applicable, the ticket price for children of age 16 and under is £3. For more information please see our entry on this site under Clubs and Groups.

E-mail Print PDF

Bunwell Bunnies Playgroup wish all their 'Graduates' good luck and best wishes as they begin the next chapter of their lives at school.
The staff of Bunnies would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to the dedicated committee members who have all worked hard this year and put in so much of their own time in order to help Bunwell Bunnies run smoothly.
We are now looking forward to an exciting new term at Bunnies. From September we will be learning all about 'People that help us.' We will be setting up role play hospitals, police stations, fire stations and maybe even a coastguard station!

If you have a child aged between 2 and school age and you are interested in bringing  them along- just give Karen, our supervisor a call to arrange a time to come and have a play at a session.

You can find more news plus information about our session times by looking at our advert in the back of the Parish Magazine or by visiting our entry in Clubs and Groups on this site.

If you fancy a walk in Bunwell just click on this link which will take you to a larger version of this map: http://www.south-norfolk.gov.uk/leisure/media/Bunwell.pdf

The Map features 3 recommended walks of  2.5, 3 and 5 miles based on the Village Hall area (an even larger version of the map is sited between the recycling area and the play area roundabout).

We're very pleased to report that at last the crossfield Public Right of Way between the Old Scout HQ in Wood Lane and Banyards Loke (roughly follows the poles) is now a fairly flat metre wide path and is now open for use.

There is also a Village Walks Group which meets at Bunwell Village Hall on the first Monday morning of each month - detailed information can be found in the Parish Newsletter.

September 6: Meet 10am Bunwell Village Hall and drive via the A143 Bungay Road to The Black Swan Homersfield for a 5 mile walk, then returning to The Black Swan for refreshments.
