BUNWELL BUNNIES PLAYGROUP.

Bunwell Bunnies Playgroup wish all their 'Graduates' good luck and best wishes as they begin the next chapter of their lives at school.
We had a lovely end of term 'Graduation celebration' at Bunnies. The leavers put on a graduation hat and cape, listened to a little story of their individual achievements during their time at Bunnies. They also showed to their families and friends a painting they were looking forward to doing when they get to school. Their ideas ranged from 'working in the school garden ' to 'playing football on the school field' with many other ideas in between!
Graduation day finished with  party  food and a chance for Mums, Dads, Grandparents and friends to have coffee, tea and a chat.

The staff of Bunnies would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to the dedicated committee members who have all woked hard this year and put in so much of their own time in order to help Bunwell Bunnies run smoothly.
We are now looking forward to an exciting new term at Bunnies. From September we will be learning all about 'People that help us'. We will be setting up role play hospitals, police stations, fire stations and maybe even a coastguard station!

If you have a child aged between 2 and school age and you are interested in bringing  them along- just give Karen, our supervisor a call to arrange a time to come and have a play at a session.
You can find out more about our session times by looking at our advert in the back of the Parish Magazine or by visiting www.bunwell.org.uk/bunwell bunnies

PREVIOUS NEWS:

16 MAY 2010

Exciting News from Bunwell Bunnies this month! We have done a through spring clean, thrown out old equipment and brought in new!
We were lucky enough to receive a £5000 grant for equipment. This has meant that we have been able to renew and refresh a lot of our equipment for our Bunnies Children to enjoy and enhance their learning.
On Friday 14th May our Chairperson Liz Robbins cut the ribbon and the Children were introduced to all the new equipment.
There were children climbing up a new scramble net, painting on the new Easel, and listening to rhymes on a new headphone centre. Lots of children enjoyed making models with the new construction equipment.
Outside we were able to show the children tuneful wind chimes , a windsock and a rainbow windmill that blows and changes colour in the wind.
Meanwhile there were children giving each other lifts on the new two seater bikes and stopping at the traffic light that works like a real one :)
With new books, games, a play kitchen and equipment, and early years science and ICT equipment, the learning opportunities that we are able to explore are endless.
Our aim at Bunwell Bunnies, as always, is to enable children to learn through play, happily, in a safe and secure environment.
After half term we have some exciting events;
We will be having our own sports day , but also we have been invited to watch Bunwell Primary School's Sports Day too.
We are planning a trip to the seaside on a big coach, hopefully to build some sandcastles and paddle in the sea, fingers crossed for some summer weather!
Of course this is an exciting time for our Bunnies that are getting ready to go to School. They will be spending some time with their new class and teacher at Bunwell School, they will also be staying to join their new school friends for lunch at the school every Thursday until the end of term.
Our finale of the year will be graduation day on Wednesday 21st July when our Bunnies Leavers will don their graduation hats and receive a good luck wish for the next chapter of their lives at school.
If you have a child aged between 2 and 4 and you are interested in learning more about Bunwell Bunnies please see our advert in the back of the magazine or go to the Bunwell website   www.bunwell.org.uk to find out more.

Bunwell Bunnies Playgroup

The Bunnies launched into 2010 with lots of enthusiasm.
During the first half of Spring Term we found out all about shapes - we made collages of triangle shapes, made salt dough star mobiles to take home. We then explored lots of different circles, we pretended that we were pirates on our climbing frame pirate ship and made telescopes out of cardboard tubes.
When we were exploring  squares we made our own pretty cellophane windows. we made a big rectangular cardboard bus to play in during rectangle week.
Finally we thought it would be fun to make cards with a very special shape on them - 'heart'  shapes for Valentines Day.
We invited all our parents / carers to come for coffee during the last week of half term so they could look at some of the activities that we had been up to.
We are now looking forward to lots more exciting activities leading up to Easter.
We are pleased to say that opening on a Friday afternoon session for the over 3's at Bunnies has been very successful. for full details of session times and further information please see our advert in the back of the parish magazine.
If you are not ready to come to Bunnies just yet, then remember there is a new Mum and Baby group Hoppity's starting on Thursday 25th February, to be held on alternate Thursday afternoons at Bunwell village hall.
